You Are EVOLVING!

You are not the same person you were yesterday.

And you are definitely not the same person you were 20 years ago.

It’s so easy to feel like you’re not growing and making progress unless years have passed and/or there’s a big win to reflect on what you’ve learned and who you needed to be to do that thing.

That’s missing the mark.

Growth, more often than not, happens at the crossroads, in the challenge, the missed opportunity, the sickness, the failure – and most frequently – in those tiny moments and reflections that make up your day.

Every day you learn more about what matters to you and who you truly are.

It may take a while to fully act on what you know, but once you know, you can’t un-know.

You’re growing and evolving…ALWAYS!

For me it’s been a big year of change and challenge, and in the midst of it all, gratitude. At the tender age of 60 I’m more fully embracing…

  • Imperfection – Embracing “good enough” is a hell of lot more freeing and fun
  • Enoughness – I’ve always wrestled with this and now know that I’m the only one who gets to declare I AM enough and did enough that day.
  • Focusing on what I CAN control – The rest is a waste of energy.
  • Trusting the process – Anything else creates resistance.
  • Knowing myself – My story is rich, complicated and worthy of understanding. And so is yours!
  • Uncertainty – I’ve learned this the hard way… It’s ALL uncertain. And therein lies the possibilities!
  • Connection – To myself, others and the world. That’s what makes a life well lived.
  • The wisdom of my body – My head doesn’t always have the answers, my body often knows so much more. I’m finally slowing down enough to notice and listen.
  • Fun and joy – There is no need to take everything so damn seriously!
  • Gratitude – Perhaps this is one of the gifts of growing older… I see (and marvel at) the beauty of all that is and appreciate what I have more and more every day.

Any of these resonate for you?
