I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
– Bronnie Ware, The #1 Regret of the Dying
You did it!
It’s been a challenging year and here you are… on the last day.. standing a little taller, feeling a bit braver, having grown wiser and a hell-of-a lot more resolute to finally commit to living the life that is true to you.
Life is short and 2020 served to remind us all of this lovely fact. It’s also been a wake-up call of sorts to finally give yourself permission to pursue the life you want or that dream that lights you up.
No death bed is required for this dose of courage. Just a commitment to start living your life according to your desires and stop living your life based on the things you “should” do and the expectation of others.
We know you have responsibilities and people in your life you want to please, and that’s a beautiful thing. The challenge is when people (you perhaps?) turn it into an unhealthy sense of obligation to uphold other people’s expectations of who you think, they think, you should be.
Our time here on earth is limited…so don’t ignore your deepest desires to be loved and accepted AND please don’t keep waiting for a “better” time.
Your time is NOW.
Your dreams matter.
We challenge you to be brave enough to live your life the way you desire.
And we’re here to help.
Cheers to 2021 and to being brave.
We can’t wait to see what you create in your life this year!
WRITING & REFLECTION:
What’s the #1 thing you’re doing right now that may NOT be true to you, but you’re doing it because it’s what others think you should do?
What’s one small change you’d like to make to be more true to yourself?
What is an action step you can take – right now – to move in the direction you want to go?
