How are you?
How are you… really?
Not, the quick answer.
Not the knee jerk.,“Good, good, how are you?” answer.
The full, honest, heart-bearing soul-searching answer.
This is the question that was posed in my Positive Psychology program a little over a decade or ago and it had such an impact I use it with my clients (and myself!) today.
It was a listening exercise and the only thing the listener could do was hold space and to listen with “kind eyes”.
Think about it…
When was the last time someone asked you this question, …and really listened?
What a gift that is.
And when was the last time you asked yourself this question… and were brave enough to hear what you know to be true?
It can be scary. Really scary. Yet isn’t it time you slowed down enough to actually listen to the whispers of your heart?
I think so. In fact, knowing yourself and acting from your heart is the biggest gift you can give to yourself.
.
If you’re on the regret bus, get off.
It’s time.
If not now, when?
