Craving more peace?
It’s so easy to think in black or white… but life is messy and holds all sorts of realities at one time.
Your peace exists in the ability to honor and hold what may feel like polar opposites – as well as the many shades of grey in between.
This speaks to the wholeness of your humanness and to deny or avoid or numb any of it leads to resistance and the inability to be fully present with, accept and love what is.
You can be fearful and hopeful at the same time.
You can be incredibly grateful for the life you have AND know something needs to change.
You may feel tremendous joy and also be in the depths of despair.
You may enjoy the version of you that you put out in the world and internally feel utterly undeserving and insufficient.
And as I’ve recently discovered, you can live with physical pain and have your heart cracked open to all that is good and beautiful in your life.
So if you want to experience more peace, you must learn to embrace THE AND.
To embrace, and accept, it all.

It wants to experience the good and/or hide behind what feels scary. Even – or especially – when the scary thing is taking a full and honest look at the perfect and messy human that you are.
Be patient.
Because when you accept all of who you are and the fullness of your emotions and experiences, you’ll realize you’re stronger than you thought. And your life will feel more peaceful and whole.
It’s a practice, and I too, am a work-in-progress.
What part of your experience are you avoiding, denying or numbing?
Sit with it, and compassionately allow it in. All of it…This is where you’ll begin to finally experience more peace.
