You’re So Not Alone!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how we never really know what’s going on behind someone’s smile. In the past few years I’ve had the pleasure of working with over a hundred women (and a few good men) and what I’ve come to fully realize is no matter how different we may seem, we all have challenges, we all have fears, and we all have stories we tell ourselves that hold us back. And very importantly, no matter what our job title is (or isn’t), or how great our lives may appear, we definitely don’t have it all together.

You’re so not alone!

You may be at the top of your career, or at the beginning. Or perhaps you’re starting over.

You may have a dream that’s stuck in your head. Or you may be stuck, …and not daring to dream.

No matter what you are trying to create in your life, and what challenges you are facing, you need to know that you are not alone.

In fact, we all have so much in common. If only we reached out more…to share our stories and our dreams, our challenges and doubts, and took the time to truly listen. We’d all enjoy more support and meaningful connection in our lives.

We all want connection and to know, at the end of the day, that what we do matters.

We all also, at times…

  • Feel that we are not enough
  • Get overwhelmed and paralyzed by fear
  • Torment ourselves with “woulda, coulda, shoulda’s”
  • Fall victim to stories we have created (intentionally or unintentionally) that hold us back
  • AND we have all experienced beautiful moments when we see what is great and powerful in ourselves, the awesome potential that we possess

You are not alone.

In the spirit of the holidays I’d like to challenge you to give of yourself. To reach out, to connect. To share your story and to truly listen. You may learn something wonderful about a dear friend by simply asking, “What do you most want to create in your life?” I have no doubt something wonderful will come from it.
